BORING / MILLING

Milling and boring is done on CNC machines by highly skilled operators who are constantly trained in new technologies. The working dimensions reach up to 18000 x 3500 mm and are made with mobile upright milling cutters, boring machines and milling machine centres with automatic pallet changer. The machines are controlled on 4-5 axis with gear heads and automatic tool changer as well as with continuous rotor table, and rototranslating tables.

Fomap has considerable experience in working with medium low alloy steels, stainless and special (Nimonich, inconel, haynes, duplex, Hastelloy), aluminum alloys, composite materials and titanium alloys.

TURNING

Turning is done on CNC machines by highly skilled operators and who are constantly trained in new technologies.

The working dimensions reach a maximum diameter of 3200 x 2900 mm (height) and are realized with the aid of vertical and parallel lathes 3-4 axis with tool change and with C axis in drilling and milling.

SPECIAL PROCESSES

Fomap has internally developed considerable know-how in relation to special processes such as:
  • TIG, MIG, MAG welding certified to ASME code;
  • Electron beam welding EPW
  • Painting of mechanical assemblies to technical specifications;
  • Surface treatments (HVOF coating);
  • Heat treatments in high vacuum;
  • High vacuum brazing;

OTHER PROCESSES

Fomap through its organization and supply chain can also perform the following processes:
  • Non-destructive testing (liquid penetrant, magnetic particle inspections);
  • Geometrical and dimensional controls on coordinate measuring machines (CMM);
  • Assembly and testing of mechanical structures;
